Item Description
8.5x11" retailer's promotional folder details 1939 "Muffets" cereal "Humming Rocket Ship" premium offer, showing both the premium itself as well as store display box, product packaging as well as window advertising sign. Two paperclip rust marks along spine and some corner tip wear but still Fine overall. Rare. 14-1/8x19.25" single-sided paper store window sign notes premium was available w/two packages of Muffets Whole Wheat Biscuits. While no reference to Buck Rogers, premium is very similar to his Muffets Whistling Rocketship premium from 1939. Sign features great art of children playing w/rocket which is prominently featured at top center. Vertical fold at center and two horizontal folds as issued. Pricing square at lower right remains unused. Fine/VF. Scarce. Comes w/actual example of the premium itself, which measures 3x6.75" and features nicely illustrated double-sided image of rocketship, which has printed instructions for use on one side of fins while other side remains blank. Comes w/original string attached as designed to be spun through the air, creating a humming sound. Some lt. scattered wear/aging but Exc. overall.
