Item Description
4x9" die-cut movie theater herald released for the 1955 Spanish release of Paramount Pictures' classic 1953 film adaptation of H.G. Wells' alien invasion story. Herald features Martian spaceship design w/Spanish title/text and Paramount logo. Reverse features additional Spanish text as well as cast and theater names. Small penciled letter on back. Fragile due to the nature of the thin neck of the ship's electronic eye, which easily tore. This example is complete w/some creasing at neck and left/right wing tips of ship. Still VF overall. Unique herald design. Comes w/first 1953 Pocket Book printing of "The War Of The Worlds," featuring cover design utilizing the Martian spaceships as they appeared in Paramount's film. High grade example w/tight binding and sharp corners. Top front cover is as printed and cover is o/w bright and glossy. NM, file copy quality example.
