Item Description
Pair of die-cut stiff paper promotional items issued by movie theaters during original releases of radio-related pre-Code films; "Are You Listening?" (1932) and "20 Million Sweethearts" (1934). 5-5/8x7-5/8" promotional hanger for "Are You Listening?" features large ear design and has Paramount Theatre of Newport, RI imprint. Back has some glue staining which shows through slightly onto front. VF overall. 3.25x4.5" die-cut folder designed like a Philco radio opens to reveal film title and images of stars Dick Powell and Ginger Rogers. Back has Metropolitan Theatre of Boston, MA imprint and some glue staining as once mounted. Front and interior still display Exc. Rare pair. Both are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
