Item Description
Pair of 1930s cardstock promotional movie theater giveaway activities. 5.5x6.25" card features "The Fascinating 'Captured' Puzzle" and promotes the 1933 war film "Captured!" starring Leslie Howard, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., Paul Lukas and Margaret Lindsay, who are all pictured on card. Card mentions "All Quiet On The Western Front." Bottom has Strand Theatre of Holyoke imprint. Evenly aged but o/w Exc. This is the actual example shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. 5.5x11" card promotes the 1934 adaptation of popular comic strip "Harold Teen," starring Hal Le Roy. Card features complete and uncut parts to make dancing Hal paper doll. Card has further text noting "Harold Teen" film and characters. Whalley Theatre imprint at bottom. Top margin has some aging and scattered wear. Back has two spots of glue staining, but these do not affect front's display, which remains VF. Both are very rare as meant to be marked/cut and both are the first we've offered in our 52 years.
