Item Description
11-1/8x16" thin single-sided cardboard sign has 7.75x10.5" choice color image area of "Popular Comics" #25 comic book from Feb. 1938. Characters shown include - Donald Winslow, Skippy, Smitty, Skeezix w/Kitty Higgins as the main cover feature. Other characters/features listed but not shown include - Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, The Gumps, Terry and the Pirates, Smilin' Jack, Streaky, Out Our Way and Tiny Tim. Large "Out Today!" text at top for newsstand display. "Popular Comics" was one of the early titles of the Golden Age, debuting in Feb. 1933. Sign has heavy horizontal crease across bottom, approx. 3.5" from bottom. Some minor corner tip wear and dust soiling, sign is Fine overall. Rare.
