9x13.75" original printing handbill for The Who concert that was to take place Dec. 23, 1967 at the Royal York Hotel in Ryde, Isle of Wight, but despite The Who playing Grand Hall in London on Dec. 22, we can find no record of this Isle of Wight concert ever actually taking place. Supporting Isle of Wight band The Stack is also noted as is a "Mini Skirt Competition - To Be Judged By Guest Celebrity From London." Handbill has been glued to piece of purple paper, resulting in some rippling. Left margin of purple paper is uneven and upper margin has some aging. Handbill has .5" pull below last letter of name as well as pin holes at bottom corners. VG overall as mounted, but could be matted and framed for nice display. Rare.
