Item Description
Large and impressive 43.5x81" cloth banner w/wooden slats in provided housings at top/bottom to keep poster stable for outdoor display at "76" gas stations in 1970 while their Funny Face promotion was underway. Synthetic canvas-like material has nice, large 26.75" dia. image of Jolly Olly Orange drinking from glass dominating banner w/"Free Funny Face Soft Drink Mix With Gasoline Purchase" text. A drink pack was given out w/each tank of gas, orange was the only flavor offered. Due to size and fabric, this was for outdoor use and few examples survived. Banner shows moderate wear w/aging/soiling at lower right margin and scattered edge slivers out of center right margin. Top/bottom portions show wear along wooden slats. Overall expected aging/wear from outdoor display. VG/Fine. Rare.
