Item Description
In 1953, Canada Dry Ginger Ale cartons were sold w/three different 3-3/8x7.5", 36-page premium comic books stapled to them. ©1953, Harvey Publications Inc. Uncut 10.75x15.5" double-sided sheet features front/back covers for all three comics. 15.5x21" booklet features complete printed contents for all three comics. This has been folded at center as issued and both cover proof and booklet have faint vertical crease at centers as well as lt. aging/handling wear. VF overall. This is likely a unique pair, this the first such example we've seen in our 52 years. 6.75x8" single-sided proof sheet features wonderfully illustrated premium promotion, including small images of the comics themselves. NM. Comes w/10-3/8x13.25" magazine page w/slightly altered Canada Dry ad promoting the premium comics and two reading copies of the comics - Book 2 "Forced Landing" and Book 3 "Dragon Lady In Distress." A special lot for the Terry and the Pirates and/or premium comic book collector.
