Item Description
Lot contains original art created for 1952 Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops Wild Bill Hickok "Famous Gun Series" cut-outs on box backs. First artboard has 3.25" dia. India ink original art w/close-up image of Guy Madison as Wild Bill Hickok. Image area Exc. Art was used as image on badge which appeared on box back w/Derringers. Next three artboards have India ink original art combined w/photostats for guns. Includes 7.75" long Derringer, 10.25" long Colt pistol and 10.25" long Colt Frontier six-shooter. First pistol has art done on two separate artboards combined together. Boards have editorial notes around edges but image areas are clean and Exc. All are unique. Comes w/two folded photostat sheets listing details of four different guns offered. This text was as printed on box backs alongside art. Good/VG. All are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA. Comes w/7" tall 5 oz. size complete cereal box, attached front/back panels and two separate back panels, comprising a complete set of the four guns in this series. Varying degrees of aging/handling wear, attached front/back panels having some scattered moisture staining. Fine to VF overall. An extensive and unique group.
