Item Description
Pair of premiums issued in 1942. 1-5/8x7" die-cut thin cardboard "Catapult Bomber" has image of Don Winslow on front saying "Try Post Toasties And Grape-Nut Flakes - They Hit The Spot!" w/instruction diagram at left along w/rubberband. Comes w/3.25" long die-cut cardboard dart w/rubber tip, which is slightly misshapen w/age. Catapult has small creases where rubberband is attached but is o/w VF. Dart has moderate wear where cardboard connects to suction cup tip. Fine. 8.5x11" bw portrait on textured paper reads "As A Fan Of 'Movies For Kids,' Don't Forget - Red Goose Shoes Are Favorites With All The Boys And Girls Who Enjoy The Show! Thanks For Tuning In!" and bears Don Winslow's facsimile signature. Scattered margin aging/wear w/some tiny insect damage at lower left margin w/tiny hole. VG/Fine overall but would make for nice framed display. Both are rare and we have only offered a few of each in our 52 years. All are the actual examples shown in "The Official Price Guide To Pop Culture Memorabilia" by Ted Hake and comes with COA.
