Item Description
1.75" with Bastian back paper, moderately aged, first used in 1907 and discontinued after 1920.   Between 1910-1917, Mix made 65 one and two-reelers for Selig Polyscope Co. and between 1918 through 1920, he made 20 movies for William Fox. We suspect this button was made for the May, 1919 Fox release titled "The Coming Of The Law" in which Mix as Kent Hollis, a newspaper editor in a small New Mexico town, takes on a corrupt sheriff and "Tames The Toughest Town In The West" not to mention getting the girl. The button has very minor surface wear seen only in reflected light. High gloss and Exc. Only the second we've offered with the first coming from the Hake Collection and realizing over $1,800 in Auction #194.
