Item Description
7/8" dia. cello pinback w/o backpaper or maker's name but with small copyright symbol below Mickey Mouse's feet. The first movie club began Jan. 11, 1930 at Fox Dome Theatre in Ocean Park, CA. This first design (see previous item) was likely used briefly during the first few months of 1930 before Walt Disney Studios provided updated art, featuring the more classic pie-eye Mickey Mouse. Glossy and Exc. Scarce. Comes w/1-3/16x1-3/16" wooden printing block w/die featuring same design as button and other early club items, minus the tiny copyright symbol. Aged w/nice patina to metal. VF. First we've seen in our 52 years.
