Item Description
Lot includes 15 cards from Topps' "Wacky Halloween 2012 Postcards" series, each card measuring 2.53.5". Of the cards, lot includes "Bonus Card," four sticker cards and 10 "Wacky Packages Sketch Cards," each featuring original art from Wacky Packages artist Matthew Kirscht, most featuring Halloween-themed spoof art. All but one have been signed on back. EX/MT overall. Comes w/8.5x11" sheet of unlined paper features lead pencil preliminary original art (surrounded by black felt tip pen) advertising fictitious "Hounds" candy bar, a clever spoof of the popular "Mounds" candy bar. Art by Matthew Kirscht was used for 2012 Series 9 "Wacky Packages" and comes w/coffin-shaped postcard featuring finished image, which has been signed on back by the artist. Whimsical art depicts a leering moon as the letter "O" in "Hounds," who stares down at snarling werewolf beside hand-lettered "Full Moon" text (which was changed to read "Full Moon Flavor" on final art. Sheet has some handling wear w/crease along top but could be matted for Exc. display. Artist has also signed below art, adding 2012 date.
