Item Description
1.5" with back paper by St. Louis Button Co. Button's bottom edge names the issuer "Wolff & Marx Men's Store." Center features wonderful depiction of large eyeball staring through a knot hole in a wooden plank. San Antonio was one of the charter members of the Texas League in 1888 and has since hosted a number of other Texas League franchises. We estimate this button to be from 1910-1920 era. Among the earliest and certainly among the most graphic use of the knot hole concept. Our fourth in five decades. NM displaying Mint.
