Item Description
Each is 1.5" and both have W&H back papers in use 1900-1912 with the buttons in use c. 1904. The color button includes his 1903 record mile time of 1.56-1/4. Owner M. W. Savage licensed Dan Patch extensively as a celebrity endorser of products from cigars to coffee to billiard cues. His tail hairs could be purchased for $5.00, today the equivalent of well over $100.00. Both buttons are NM displaying Mint. Both are scarce. See previous item.
