Item Description
First two buttons show "Keen Kutter" logo introduced around 1900. First is our first seen 1.25" with covered metal back that has a raised horizontal channel holding a brass pin. Second is 7/8" with early 1900s back paper by Steiner, St. Louis. Third is 7/8" for "Stiletto Tools/Cutlery". This has Brunt, San Francisco paper in use 1910-1911. Last three are 7/8" all for "Diamond Edge" tools and cutlery made by the Keen Kutter arch rival "Norvell-Shapleigh Co. also located in St. Louis. First has no back paper and small cello flake that didn't tuck under collet, second has Bastian paper in use 1907-1920 and third same torn but complete paper. This last has hairline .5" cello split along the collet. This still displays Mint and the other five are Exc. to Mint.
