Item Description
This 12.5" tall molded pulp container designed like Planters' mascot Mr. Peanut has removable hat (complete w/"Mr. Peanut" name band) and once held half pound of peanuts. Underside of container has "Souvenir From Atlantic City And Greetings From Mr. Peanut" paper label which has area of glue staining at center from application. Originally these 1930s containers bore a label with just Mr. Peanut's image on underside and it appears this example has had updated 1960s label applied over earlier label for later sale at Planters' Atlantic City, NJ boardwalk location. Container has some lt. scattered wear to edges of hat brim and .5" area of damage to tip of one shoe. Still displays VF overall.
