Item Description
1-5/8x2.25" Cuban card tobacco issue. Numbered C21-60, the baseball cards are part of a much larger set that also features boxers, actors and actresses, nudes and more. The baseball sub-set pictures mostly players from the 1923-24 Cuban Professional League. Printed on glossy paper, the cards were meant to be glued into an album.
Francisco "Tatica" Campos Toledo was a Cuban baseball pitcher in the Negro and Cuban leagues. He played from 1911 to 1922 with several teams including Alemendares and Cuban Stars East. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
