Item Description
Sergio Aragonés is a Spanish/Mexican cartoonist and writer best known for his contributions to "Mad" magazine and creating the comic book "Groo The Wanderer." Offered here are five books featuring art by Aragonés - "Wertham Was Right!, Comic Books And Other Necessities Of Life, Superheroes In My Pants!" and two compilations of Aragonés cartoons, "Actions Speak" and "Louder Than Words." Books were each signed in-person at Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA in black felt tip pen, w/Aragonés adding a self-portrait to each. "Louder Than Words" also features portrait of "Mad" mascot Alfred E. Neuman. All are NM. Books come w/8.5x8-7/8" napkin which has been doodled on by Aragonés, covering one side in original art that includes number of horses and horse-like creatures as well as faces and fantasy creature. Originally folded at center, napkin has three faint spot of staining and is o/w VF. Charlie Roberts Collection.
