Item Description
Vintage 4x6" postcard features pen and ink sketch original art by noted artist Norman Rockwell (1894-1978), showing seated dog w/open tin can tied to its tail. Rockwell has signed "Your Faithful Friend - Norman Rockwell" in black ink. Back has been hand-addressed in Rockwell's hand and bears 1940 postal cancellation. Back has two spots of glue staining at top corners as once mounted in scrapbook, but this does not affect front's display. Some minor margin aging but o/w Exc. Wonderful example of a sought-after piece of original art from the great American artist. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Charlie Roberts Collection.
