Item Description
2.75x4.5" original glossy photo depicting three key members of the 1944 New York Cubans baseball club posing in front of stadium seating. Pictured standing from left to right are: Jose M. Fernandez, Hector Rodriguez & Rodolfo Fernandez. The 1944 Cubans would finish in second place in the Negro National League with a record of 41-25-2. At this stage, Fernandez was devoting nearly 100% of his efforts towards managing the ball club as his playing days were essentially over. Rodriguez finished the season batting .272 with no home runs and 14 RBI's. Rodolfo Fernandez finished the year bating .333 in very limited duty. Players are identified on the back of the photo. Exc.
