Item Description
7x9-1/8" original glossy photo depicting a baseball brawl during a game between the National League's Brooklyn Dodgers and Milwaukee Braves. Photographer's stamp on back indicates International News Photos, New York, NY. Although many ballplayers are pictured, the only individual that we have been able to identify for certain is Dodgers pitcher, Don Newcombe, directly in the center of the photo. Newcombe would pitch a total of 10 seasons in the Major Leagues, finishing with a career record of 149-90 with an ERA of 3.56. Back of photo includes remnants of former scrapbook removal along with a vintage piece of tape on the left edge. Fine/VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
