Item Description
8-1/8x10" original glossy photo picturing 28 members of the 1951-52 Habana baseball club posing in front of stadium seating. Back of photo identifies all individuals pictured on front, including future Hall of Famer, Hoyt Wilhelm, prior to the start of his MLB career. Credit for photo is stamped on front as "Ramoncito - 1952". Habana would go on to win the Cuban Winter League title that season, finishing with a record of 41-30. In addition to Wilhelm, other notables who played for this club were: Pedro Formental, Alejandro Crespo, Cocaina Garcia and Mike Gonzalez. Photo exhibits exceptional image quality, surface wrinkles are visible throughout but does not detract from the overall presentation of the photo. Fine/VF.
