Item Description
8-1/8x10" original glossy photo depicting the 1952 Indianapolis Indians ball club, a Class AAA American Association ball club. This Cleveland Indians affiliate would finish in sixth place that season with a won-loss record of 75-79 under Manager, Gene Desautels. A total of twenty six players from this team would see time in the Major Leagues. Amongst the biggest names on the roster were Herb Score and George Stirnweiss along with former Negro Leaguers, Quincy Trouppe & Sam Jones. Photo exhibits significant wear, including pinholes, on all four corners along with a 1/2'' tear in the bottom edge, several surface wrinkles/creases are also visible. Back has what appears to be stamped facsimile autographs for a number of the players along with one original signature in blue ink, Herb Score, which has not been authenticated by a third party service. VG. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
