6x8.75" vintage program/yearbook covering all four of the traditional Cuban League baseball powers, Almendares, Habana, Cienfuegos and Mariano. Box scores detailing the entire 1948-49 winter league season are presented along with numerous individual images of Negro and Cuban League stars of the day. Among the most notable names here are: Lennie Pearson, Henry Kimbro, Hank Thompson, Pedro Formental, Miguel Gonzalez, Don Newcombe, Monte Irvin, Sam Jethroe, Sandy Amaros, Max Manning, Alejandro Crespo, Julio Rojo, Dave Barnhill, Jose Fernandez Sr., Buck Leonard (HOF) and Minnie Minoso. Both team as well as individual batting and pitching statistics are covered at the end of the program. Lots of local business ads appear throughout the program as well.
