Item Description
20.25x28-5/8" first printing for Jan. 21-22, 1973 Bill Graham-promoted concerts at the Honolulu International Center in Honolulu, HI featuring The Rolling Stones during their Pacific Tour 1973, which is sometimes referred to as the Winter Tour 1973. The tour was not associated w/any album release and the original intent was to play Australia and New Zealand, which had not seen The Stones since Feb./March 1966, as well as Japan, which had not seen The Stones at all. Due to some legal issues related to drug charges, an unnamed member was banned from entering Australia and the band was completely banned from Japan. These Hawaiian performances were planned for just such an occurrence. Poster design by Wilfred Satty and David Singer features man trying to control horses on seabird-covered island. Both Satty and Singer have signed poster in black felt tip pen at lower corners. AOR 4.147. Tiny corner bumps and trace handling wear but o/w VF/Exc.
