Item Description
5.75x19" artboard features four panels of pen and ink original art by "Archie" co-creator Bob Montana. Art is for the Nov. 11, 1962 daily strip and features Jughead and Archie at Pop's Malt Shop, Jughead discussing meeting w/school psychologist, all the while asking Pop for banana split after banana split. Last panel reveals Jughead has been diagnosed w/a split personality. Jughead appears in every panel, Archie appears in first and his shadow appears in third. Montana has signed and dated last panel. McClure Newspaper Syndicate paste-overs in third and fourth panels. Penciled date at upper right margin. Back has photoengraver inkstamp. Artboard has evenly aged screentone accents and some staining surrounding them while screentone on Jughead's shirt has not aged much. Art displays VF.
