8.511" typed letter (TLS) on "Harold R. Foster" letterhead is dated June 29, 1974 and confirms Foster's intent to attend the "1st Orlando Con" comic book convention, noting at the very least he will see that some "Prince Valiant" material is sent for the Milt Gross benefit auction. Foster has signed in blue ink. Lower left has "Prince Valiant In The Days Of King Arthur" logo. Folded as mailed but o/w Exc. Comes w/5x7-1/8" photo showing Foster (1892-1982) w/fellow cartoonist Roy Crane (1901-1977), who created the comic strip characters Wash Tubbs, Captain Easy and Buz Sawyer. Both have signed in black felt tip pen. Exc. Signatures were obtained in-person by Charlie Roberts. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA. Charlie Roberts Collection.
