Item Description
2x2-5/8" Cuban card issued as a premium by Billiken brand cigars. Cards in this set feature players from the 1923-24 Cuban Professional League. The set includes 15 cards each for the four teams that participated that season: Almendares, Habana, Marianao, and Santa Clara. Glossy front features a B&W photo, players name and team. The back of the card has an ad for "Billiken." Cards in this elusive set are among the scarcest and most popular of the pre-war Cuban issues.

Abreu's first professional baseball season came in 1920 as the regular catcher for the Cuban Stars (West). Eufemio's debut also marked the debut season of the Negro National League Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
