Item Description
3.25x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicting 10 ballplayers in full uniform posed on grass field w/several period pieces of baseball equipment visible in foreground. Early 20th century images of Native American baseball players are always highly desirable, especially those of well-known stars such as Jim Thorpe and Chief Bender. Although neither of those individuals is pictured here, other notable names may be present, will take some research on the part of the buyer to identify them. Postcard presents nicely w/lt., even corner wear visible. Divided back remains blank and unused, exhibiting some lt. foxing around the edges and some faint scattered moisture staining along right margin. Fine/VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
