Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage matte postcard depicts long-time Cuban baseball great Sal Hernandez during his managerial career w/Cienfuegos during the late 1940s and into the early 1950s. Hernandez was elected to the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1997, having played a total of 15 seasons in Cuba from 1935-51, playing w/Habana, Almendares, Marianao, Leones and Cienfuegos. EKC stamp box on back dates production to 1930-50, which is consistent w/the subject matter. Image quality is superior. Exc. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
