Item Description
7.5x9.5" vintage matte photo depicts 15 team members in uniform presented in a team composite fashion. "McKenzie, Duluth" photographer's stamp on bottom. The 1938 Duluth Dukes were a member of the Northern League, finishing the season w/a record of 72-44, good for second place under Manager Fred Dorman. All team members have been neatly identified underneath their portraits. "Dutch Dorman of York, PA" handwritten note on back. Individuals pictured are as follows - Locke, Wasley, Dorman, Thompson, Stemig, Witham, Weiting, Felderman, Warchol, Tikvich, Oberlander, Schmidt, Homstad, Barney and Novak. Back of photo exhibits lt. scattered staining around the edges. VF. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
