Item Description
8x10" vintage glossy photo depicts four Chicago White Sox ballplayers in full uniform along w/two men in formal attire. "W.C. King" photographer's stamp on back. Based on the uniform style pictured, this gathering represents the 1952 AL Chicago White Sox, highlighted by former Negro League great Minnie Minoso (second from left). We have also been able to identify Luis Aloma (far left) and Chico Carrasquel (far right). The 1952 Chicago White Sox would finish the season w/a record of 81-73, good for third place in the AL. Image quality of photo is phenomenal, edges exhibit some foxing, more prominently on the back. Faint handwritten inking, identifying most is photos. This remains somewhat legible in spots. Fine. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
