Item Description
1.5x1.75" w/bw photo front and text back w/player information. These were issued in matchboxes. Over 100 cards in the set and numerous photo and back varieties exist.

Nicknamed the Prince of Havana, Adolfo began his professional baseball career with the Cuban Stars in the U.S. in 1912. Luque would go on to pitch for 20 years in the U.S. Major Leagues, finishing with a career record of 193-179 along with a 3.24 ERA along with two World Series appearances with the Cincinnati Reds in 1919 and the New York Giants in 1933. Luque reached a high water mark of 27 wins in 1923. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
