Item Description
1.25", no maker, with pin holding the accent items. 1945 Detroit Tigers won the American League pennant, finishing with a record of 88-65 under manager Steve O'Neill. The offense was led by future National Baseball Hall of Fame first baseman Hank Greenberg, considered by many to be the greatest Jewish ballplayer in Major League Baseball history. The mound corps was led by Hall of Fame lefty, Hal Newhouser, who won an amazing 25 games for the Tigers in 1945. Detroit would go on to win the World Series that season, defeating the Chicago Cubs after a tough seven game series.  Couple very minor vertical stress lines on the ribbon. The button is glossy NM.
