Item Description
Scarce 1.25", no maker, with spring pin holding 4" ribbon, dated July 7, 1937 at Griffith Stadium, Washington D.C. with text naming "American League/Joe McCarthy, Mgr." and "National League/Bill Terry, Mgr." For each league, players are grouped as: "Pitchers; Catchers; Infielders; Outfielders". American League HOF'ers include: McCarthy, Grove, Gomez, Dickey, Ferrell, Foxx, Gehringer, Greenberg, Gehrig, Cronin, DiMaggio & Averill. National League HOF'ers include: Terry, Hubbell, Dean, Hartnett, Lombardi, Mize, Herman, Vaughan, Ott, Medwick and P. Waner. The 1937 mid-summer classic was won by the American League by a score of 8-3 with the game's only home run knocked by the "Iron Horse", Lou Gehrig of the New York Yankees.
