Item Description
1.25" dia. No maker. Shown in his Boston Braves uniform, he played for the team 1930-36 (his only years playing MLB).  Button was only issued on one day, commemorating this hometown hero. Known as "The Hull Howitzer," this button celebrates what proved to be by far, his best year, with a 14-7 record and an ERA of 3.30. Besides his superb 1932 season, Brown would only win two other Major League games during his entire seven year career. There is one small raised bump on the celluloid along the left side of his cap. Glossy and Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
