Item Description
From same late 1940s promotion as previous two items. 13.25x17" sheet of paper features tempera prototype original art measuring 5x12" w/hand-lettered 1949 copyright at bottom. Identical to the finished product w/exception of his shirt, socks and shoe accents being yellow rather than green. Additional 3x4.5" sketch of some type of store display featuring Crackle to the right. "See Cloth Swatch For Lettering" notation at lower right. Center has lt. horizontal crease, top left has pair of pin holes and sheet has lt. margin aging but overall sheet is still clean and art is Exc. Comes w/actual 12x14.5" fabric doll sheet which features two cut-out images of Crackle that were to be stuffed and sewn to form dimensional doll. Image at left has numerous pencil notations regarding proposed corrections and some minor color changes as well as noting shirt should be changed "Yellow For Green." Sheet has 1948 copyright, which has been corrected to 1949. Faint horizontal fold across center but clean and Exc. Unique pair.
