Item Description
3.5x5.5" vintage silver gelatin postcard depicting 11 Canadian Stars ballplayers and 13 Ocean ballplayers dressed in full uniform and posed in front of stadium seating prior to a ballgame between the two baseball clubs. Image has the look of two semi-pro or possibly all-star teams getting ready for a highly competitive ball game. We have not been able to identify any of the individuals pictured but would certainly make a fascinating research project. Quality of image is excellent, corners exhibit very lt., even wear. Back of postcard contains a handwritten note along with a date of October 18, 1921. Divided back does not include a postal cancellation and AZO stamp box dates the postcard to 1910-1930, which is consistent with the subject matter present. VF.
