8-1/8x10" vintage glossy silver gelatin photo depicting Toots Shor teammates, Baseball Hall of Famer, Carl Hubbell, and Don Amache. Printed signature on front of photo matches photographer's stamp on back "Salas", 319 W. 50th St., New York. Carl Hubbell is also handwritten in red ink on back along with notes in Spanish. It appears that Toots Shor must have been an older mens baseball team as Hubbell appears to be in his post-retirement days in this photo. Carl fashioned a 16 year Major League career from 1928-43, all for the NL's New York Giants, finishing with a career record of 253-154 with an ERA of 2.98 and 1,677 strikeouts. Hubbell was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1947. Quality of the image is superb with a few lt. corner creases visible, back of photo exhibits lt. foxing around the edges. Fine.
