On Aug. 22, 1989 Nolan Ryan of the Texas Rangers pitched his 5,000th strikeout (his 5,714 career strikeouts is an MLB record by a significant margin), becoming the only pitcher to record 5,000 career strikeouts. Ryan was elected to the National Baseball HOF in 1999. 18-1/8x24" heavy board print by HSE features art by Goodson showing Ryan winding up on the mound. Large printed facsimile signature appears at lower right. Ryan has boldly hand-signed in blue felt tip pen at upper right. Some lt. corner/edge wear but Exc. overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
