Item Description
The Great Baltimore Fire of Feb, 7-8, 1904 leveled 1,500 buildings and damaged 1,000 more all in the center city. This 1.75" button with Minks Badge Co, back paper was issued about 18 months later for Sept. 9-16, 1906 event titled "The Greater Baltimore Jubilee And Home Coming" celebrating the city re-birth symbolized by Phoenix rising from strewn timbers and clouds of smoke. Reverse has 1.5" long but narrow cello split by the collet but cello lays flat. Overall Fine. One seen. Probably the most colorful/graphic city disaster button.
