Item Description
1.75" w/M.E. Cunningham, Pittsburgh back paper. The 1927 Pittsburgh Pirates won the National League pennant with a final record of 94-60 under manager, Donie Bush. The Bucs were led offensively by a quintet of future National Baseball Hall of Fame inductees: Joe Cronin, Kiki Cuyler, Pie Traynor, Lloyd Waner (Little Poison) and Paul Waner (Big Poison). Pittsburgh would go on to lose the 1927 World Series to a powerhouse New York Yankees squad that many consider to be the greatest baseball team of all-time. Yellow ribbon has small .25" vertical split at midpoint and a small edge tear close to where it meets the tin ball (made in Germany), but still at least 1/8" wide fabric intact and stable but requires careful handling. The black ribbon is intact. The button is glossy, Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection Book Example.
