Item Description
First example Hake's has offered, large 3" with metal back and bar pin. Curl names Adcraft Mfg. Co. Chicago. Sepia tone showing Owner - "Wrigley" plus 20 other head shots, all identified by last name. Images include five National Baseball Hall of Famers: Hack Wilson, Rogers Hornsby, Joe McCarthy, Kiki Cuyler and Gabby Hartnett. Text around images reads "Compliments Of Certified Ice Cream Co." The 1929 Chicago Cubs won the National League pennant with a final record of 98-54 under manager Joe McCarthy. The Cubs would go on to lose the 1929 World Series to the Philadelphia Athletics, 4 games to 1. Upper right cello from 12-2:30 o'clock going inward a 1/2" is slightly elevated, for no apparent reason, compared with the rest of the button surface which is flat as made. High gloss and Exc.
