Item Description
1.75" no maker. Spring pin holding 3" ribbon plus small fabric w/brass chain holding gold plastic bat and ball. The 1941 New York Yankees won the American League pennant with a record of 101-53 under National Baseball Hall of Fame manager Joe McCarthy. The offense was led by a quartet of future HOF'ers: Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Joe Gordon and Phil Rizzuto. The mound corps was led by Lefty Gomez and Red Ruffing. The Yankees would go on to defeat the Brooklyn Dodgers, 4 games to 1, to win the 1941 World Series. Light age tone to ribbon. Button has two tiny air marks but is glossy, Exc.
