Item Description
6". Same design as previous but updated text for World Series with text "World Champions." Cardboard back does not have maker St. Louis Button Co. sticker but has same (as made) three short wires holding large safety pin. St. Louis would go on to defeat the cross-town rival, St. Louis Browns, 4 games to 2, to take the 1944 World Series. On the back, the celluloid edge around the inserted cardboard back is a bit pushed inward from 11:30-12:30 and from 8-9 o'clock. From the front, this makes a slightly flat spot on the rim edge at 12:30 and  3 o'clock plus a small raised bump at 3. There are also three slightly raised lines in the cello surface that extend from the edge inward about 1". Button has very little surface wear and great gloss. VF. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
