Item Description
1.75" no maker.  Photo image dominates the button w/tiny text below of his name and "Dodgers."  Jackie Robinson made his Major League debut on April 15, 1947 for Branch Rickey's Brooklyn Dodgers, becoming the first African American ballplayer in the modern Major Leagues. Robinson would go on to win the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1947 and would follow that up w/an NL MVP award two years later, in 1949. Robinson would finish his career w/a .311 batting average along w/137 home runs, 734 RBI's, 947 runs scored and 197 stolen bases. Robinson was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962.Cello has almost no wear. Tiny oxidation around collet but the cello is glossy and button is still Exc. Paul Muchinsky Collection.
