Item Description
1.25" w/vintage but blank back paper. Shown in crisp detail are 14 players and two men in civilian dress. The 1897 Buffalo Bisons ball club was a member of the Class A - Eastern League, finishing in third place that season with a final record of 74-57 under manager Jack Rowe. A total of 15 ballplayers from this team would go on to play Major League Baseball with the most prominent being: Shad Barry, Jim Field, Les German, Ed Gremminger, Bert Inks and Sam Wise.
