Item Description
8x10" promotional photo from the 1970s features Roberto Clemente (1934-1972), a 15-time All-Star, two-time World Series champ, 1966 NL MVP and 1971 World Series MVP. Inducted in the National Baseball HOF in 1973, becoming both the first Latin American and Caribbean player to be enshrined. Photo has been signed in blue felt tip pen, Clemente adding "Best Wishes" inscription. Photo has pin holes at top center and inked name on back. Photo shows moderate handling wear w/.5" tear at upper right and slightly diagonal crease across his baseball cap. Center right has two areas of faint staining. Some surface paper lift along bottom, bottom right margin. Fine overall, but as most issues are confined to margins, could be matted for nice display. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
