Item Description
10.5x13" display plaque contains glossy 8x10" photo showing Roger Maris (1934-1985), one of baseball's all-time greats and biggest celebrities, who began his MLB career in 1957 w/the Cleveland Indians for two seasons followed by a two year stint w/the Kansas City Athletics before coming to the New York Yankees in 1960. For the next three seasons, Maris would be one of the most dominant hitters in baseball, including his incredible 1961 season breaking Babe Ruth's single season home run record of 60, which had stood since 1927. Roger would finish his career in the NL w/the St. Louis Cardinals in 1968. Photo has been boldly signed in blue felt tip pen at bottom. Bottom left corner has tiny surface flake but photo and signature are still Exc. Photo has been encased within wall plaque w/custom text plate below and is ready for display. Photo can be easily removed from plaque if so desired. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA. Chuck Bruce HOF Collection.
